Forums and Blogs

These are messaging forums where you can read messages and responses ("threads") and respond or post a new message yourself. A few newsgroups require a news reader application, such as Microsoft Outlook, but most these days are accessed through your browser.

Subscribe to mailing lists to receive and send e-mail messages to a group with similar interests. Listserv is the most widely used mailing list manager software, but you use your standard e-mail client to subscribe to mailing lists.
